Due to their ongoing success and expansion, one of the country’s top PFI advisory teams (non-Big 4) requires new members for their London, Leeds or Manchester offices at Manager or Senior Manager level. This covers a wide range of experience, so you could have only two years PFI experience, or be vastly experienced in the world of PFI, yet still be eligible for these positions.
The required experience and qualifications are as follows:
• Qualified accountant
• At least two years of PFI (Private Finance Initiative) advisory experience, preferably with a recognisable name firm in the PFI sphere (i.e. one of the top ten accountancy firms)
• Sectors of interest are Education, Housing or Waste, however these are not essential. Quite simply, if you’re an accountant with some PFI experience, it’s worth applying.
This PFI team has grown rapidly in a short space of time, but their members have been involved in PFI since its inception in the mid 1990s and have a wealth of experience in advising on over 50 deals ranging in size from £5m to £100m capital value. They specialise in advising clients on feasibility studies and Outline Business Cases (OBC), contract documentation, financial modelling, payment mechanisms & risk allocation and contract negotiation.
This is quite simply one of the top PFI financial advisory teams in PFI in the UK and against the criteria of number of deals worked on and total UK Capital Value, rank very well indeed amongst the competition.
If you possess the above qualifications and experience, you can pretty much take your pick of the PFI advisory firms, so why work here? Well, in a word, the culture! Excellent work/life balance, no excessive working hours, all open plan (including the partners!), very team-based with frequent away days and a good social side to the work.
